Trees Are Our Partners

Trees! Have you ever wondered why you feel so good being outside among trees and nature?
Recently, I have heard several speakers share that trees our our partners. It makes sense, in that humans need oxygen and give off carbon dioxide and the trees are exact opposite.

* A single mature tree can absorb carbon dioxide at a rate of 48 lbs./year and release enough oxygen back into the atmosphere to support 2 human beings.

Can the tree also share messages? (youtube video )

We (my children and I) have been starting to talk to the trees. We hug them and chat with them.
We have discovered, if there is some stress happening, being around the tree does have a calming effect.

My daughter was at school waiting to try out for a school play. She told her friends, she was nervous, and wanted to find a tree. They looked at her like, she was crazy, and told her she is a tree huger!
She defended the trees, and said, there is scientific research that supports trees reduce stress!

Why not trees? Why not working in harmony with nature?
